The Commercial lnformatic Centre (CIC) in WAPCOS has been established to keep pace with the latest developments in lnformation Technology and to take up consultancy assignments related to software development e.g. Development of Management Information System (MIS), Geographical Information System (GIS), etc. The Centre takes up assignments involving Information Technology in the water resources sector e.g Reservoir Simulating and Operation. Models, Computer based Monitoring and Evaluation, Dam Break Modelling, Project, Management, etc., in addition to the client oriented special studies in multi disciplinary areas.

The Centre comprises of experienced information technology professionals who have had years of interaction with world renowned and most experienced system planners, specialists and designers in exploring the best possible computer oriented solutions to various complex problems in planning and design of water resources systems.
