The Centre for Environment has access to well equipped laboratories for precision analysis of environmental matrices and has the latest hardware and software packages for Satellite Image Processing (GIS). Landuse and forest classification, catchment area treatment, geological and soil mapping, groundwater potential studies, environmental planning and prediction, etc., are being carried out using these specialised tools for the presentation of updated environmental scenario. The Centre has obtained for its clients more than 30 environmental clearances.
