Shri R.K. Gupta, has taken over as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (Additional Charge) of WAPCOS Limited, A Government of India Enterprise under the Union Ministry of Water Resources. Shri R.K. Gupta is a Civil Engineer, Masters in Business Administration/ Human Resources Management with over 28 years experience in securing and implementing consultancy projects in the fields of Irrigation/ Water Resources, Power & Infrastructure sectors in India and Abroad.
Shri R.K. Gupta has been working in WAPCOS for the last 19 years and has held Top Management positions. In his different capacities in WAPCOS,
Shri R.K. Gupta has been actively involved in Strategic Planning, Marketing/Business Development, Brand Building, Human Resources Management, Financial Management and Project Implementation, within India and Abroad. He has created an enabling environment to remain a step ahead of competitors by venturing into New Markets, Technology and Diversified Fields/Range of services in order to spearhead the Company to the newer height.
A scholar alumni of the prestigious Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra (First position in the University), Shri Gupta completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Structures, Civil) from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh; Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Master in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources Management. He has specialized Technical and Managerial training in India and Abroad. He has contributed a number of technical papers published in National/International Journals in India and Abroad. He is a member of leading professional Institutes.
